It’s Been a Great Summer . . .

     We began this past summer by bringing back Bardolatry first time since 2003, as a part of our ongoing effort to provide community service alongside our artistic endeavors. Ten Grand once again offered free Shakespeare performances around Manhattan, when three different casts took to the fountains and lawns of Central Park, Battery Park and Madison Square Park in the month of June, culminating with a three night stint at the Algonquin Theater. 

     Our newest event Instant Theater, wrapped-up the summer by challenging 21 actors, seven directors and seven playwrights with the task of writing, casting and staging a play in two days.  The collaboration and inspiration  of both of theses events, one old and one completely new, provided us with vehicle for growth and outreach here at TGP, and we heartily thank those who worked so hard to make this happen

Season Preview . . .

     Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 21.  We’ll once again be out in Shubert Alley for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Flea Market.  Our table will once again represent Sessions.  Speaking of which, Dr. Peterson and his unforgettable roster of patients will once again take to the boards when the show returns to Off-Broadway on October 23.  The production will bow at the Algonquin Theater for an open-ended run.  The Cold Cuts Reading Series returns Monday, October 6 for the first of five fall sessions.

     The live theatre us the ultimate collaborative art, and any organization is only as good as the talent and the commitment of its members.  In the past five years, Ten Grand has produced at venues such as Cherry Lane Theater, Playwrights Horizons, The Peter Norton Space, The Waldorf=Astoria and Lincoln Center, featuring Academy™, Tony™, and Emmy™ Award winners and nominees.  We’re seeking determined and reliable individuals with experience in the areas of development, event planning and public relations to join our production team.
